Award winning composer Samir El Borno is internationally renowned for his emotionally dynamic music scores featured in film, trailers and interactive entertainment. Coming from a strong electronic music background he is trained at the piano, percussion and in cinematic orchestration.
Born and raised in Germany his love for instruments, classical music and electronic sound began at a young age. Being an autodidact is in fact an underestimated talent that while complemented with guided studies helped him to build his distinct sound and musical abilities he is known for today.
In 2012 he has been recognized with the prestigious Hollywood Music in Media award. His trailer music for the game Ravaged received the award for Best Score for Movie/Game Trailer during a gala ceremony at the Henry Fonda Theater in Hollywood.
In 2013 he joined the prolific Eon Sound Productions team.
Recent projects include Terry Gilliams Zero Theorem starring Christoph Waltz and Matt Damon as well as a new unannounced film produced by Mad Horse Films John Swetnam (Into the Storm) and VFX house Cantina Creative (Iron Man 3)
